I loved getting to do Merritt’s makeup before the event and catch up a bit since she’s been so busy and lives in Dallas! Since it was a morning event, we wanted to keep her look soft. I chose to compliment her baby blues with one of my all-time favorite products. Laura Mercier’s Caviar Stick Eye Color in Twilight, was a soft smokey grey that worked lovely with Merritt’s fair complexion. I simply scribbled the eye crayon on her lid and used the warmth of my finger to smudge out a light even layer of eye shadow, then went back and colored in her crease with a second layer to create depth. Quick smudge again, and she had a beautiful daytime smokey eye in under 5 minutes. A thin line of Benefit’s They’re Real Push Up Liner, a few coats of mascara, peach blush and Marc Jacobs Lipstick in Understudy topped her look off!
I slipped downstairs to take advantage of NM Beauty Event ending and scooped up some amazing goodies along with a cute tote filled with lots of samples!

-Dior Creme de Rose Smoothing Lip Plumping Balm I was all out! Definitely THE most expensive chapstick I’ve ever purchased but it is SO worth every penny.
-Dior Addict It-Lash Mascara-Now that I’m finally home from traveling, I can’t wait to get back to product testing. This was at the very top of my list and judging by the gushing salesgirls, I don’t think I will be disappointed!
-Chanel LES 4 OMBRES Quad in Tisse Venitien– After seeing the new campaigns for these quads, I’ve been wanting to test these out to see if they were really worth the investment. I love my Illusion d’ombre lasting shadows, but after all of my years- I decided Chanel’s quads had to be REALLY special to purchase. Tisse Venitien is jaw droppingly beautiful-I immediately came home and started playing around with different looks. All of the shadows are so gorgeous-hello new staple!
