My favorite and most used products over the month of August!

With the heat, a focus more on skincare, and maybe a general shift into wearing less- I’ve been inclined to use these products for an easy beauty routine!

Skin: My skin has been so dehydrated this summer. I’ve been using a few different products to try and get moisture. I’m still obsessed with my Osmia Purely Simple Moisturizer throughout the day and I get so excited to slather on my Ceramidin Gel Cream at night-but I decided to try Simple’s Replenishing Ultra Rich Moisture Cream after reading that Elizabeth Olsen’s makeup artist uses it on her. Since she’s one of my ultimate style stars, I will basically do anything she does.. So far it’s amazing. It’s smooth and luxurious and hydrating. It gives my skin the feeling I’ve been searching for and I can’t believe how inexpensive it is! It’s fantastic by itself and looks great with a bit of foundation mixed in to give just a tad more coverage if I decide to wear makeup.

I had some events in August where I wanted full coverage foundation. I tested out La Mer’s Tinted Moisturizer and Foundation and I love the way my skin looks in the Foundation. It’s what Patrick Ta uses on all his celebrity clients. Each star’s skin looks flawless so I was eager to try exactly what he uses and to no surprise I was super impressed. Perfect for special occasions!

For cheeks I’ve been using the same combo all summer. To achieve my bronzy glow, I use W3LL People’s Bio Bronzer Stick on the hollows of my cheeks, reach for Dior’s Nude Air Luminizer or Glossier’s Haloscope on the high points of my face and Glossier’s Cloud Paint in Dusk on the apples of my cheeks.

Eyes: I tended to lean more towards a minimalistic eye. I’ve been a big fan of tightlining with Laura Mecier’s Black Violet to make my hazel eyes pop just the tiniest bit and of course loading up on tons of mascara for long fluttery lashes. If I wanted to make things a bit fancier, my new Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Longwear eyeshadow in New Moon. This warm brown shadow has is the perfect amount of glitter for just enough pizazz without being childish. It’s elevated glitter!

I’m still in search of a mascara that will tear me away from my Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir. Hands down THE BEST mascara on the market. I’m completely hooked.

Lips: Since I’ve been wearing less all over my face, I have been leaning to put something on my lips to bring some interest. I’ve always loved a metallic finish so when I found these Milani Amore Metallic Matte Liquid Lipsticks at the drugstore I was intrigued to test them out. They’re darker than the tube, but so completely dreamy and dramatic for fall. I love them! I also discovered their Keep It Smooth Lip treatment. With coconut, olive, jojoba, sweet almond, macadamia nut oils and shea butter in the ingredients-my lips have become addicted the feeling. So soft and smooth but I wish I didn’t smell like sugar! Too sweet for my liking but I love the way it feels! And of course-my Pat McGrath MatteTrance lipstick in 1995. I am SO sad that her new lipsticks are already sold out. Can’t wait until my bday when they come to Sephora so I can grab a few new shades for fall and winter!

That’s it for now! I’ll check back in next month with my Sept. faves!
