Yall, get a load of this. One of my closest college friends judged the Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen Pageant a few months ago. Brooks Dennard used to compete and was named first runner up in 2003 (her throwback pictures are incredible)- what a great opportunity-had to have been so much fun for her! Since she had to be dressed to the nines all week, we thought it would be a good time to test out my new service!
She did an amazing job of taking detailed shots of the clothes she had, and linked the photos of the dresses that were in the mail from Rent the Runway.
Here is some of the ideas I suggested to her in our email exchange!
“I actually think this look could work for multiple dresses.
-Soft smokey eye in bronze, taupe or rose gold+bronzer instead of blush+nude or peach lip would be very pretty with the light blue, red, silk screen green. Other options for the light blue dress: champagne shadow, false lashes, shimmery skin+ clear gloss or switching it up with loads of color on the eye. dark green shadow, eggplant liner, robins egg blue under the eye+ lots of mascara+ peach cheeks and lips.
Building upon the taupe eye, adding more chocolate brown shadow on the outer lash lines, loading up on mascara, cheek stain or tint and a cranberry lip would be pretty for the red dress and the 1920’s dress—SO obsessed with that by the way-adding more metallic touches would be so great under the eye w/ a nude lip-kind of like this but with brown.
These looks would be nice with the black lace dress or the stripped dress too!
This color would be so beautiful to offset that turquoise dress, stripped or black dress with either the champagne or taupe eyes. I’m leaning more towards a tangerine gloss. Copper, apricot, gold, browns, pale blues and navy are going to make your eyes pop the most so any of those colors that work with the hues of each dress would be great for you.
The hydrangea dress is SO awesome! I think a lilac or burgundy eyeshadow all around the eye would be bomb. Pale pink cheeks+neutral lips, barely there liner and loads of mascara would finish it off. ”
Here are her finished looks!
Well done Jinxy!
