I have been lucky enough in life to have grown up with a handful of friends since kindergarten and have been to elementary, highschool and college with them. Philip Edsel has been one of them. It has been so cool to see where life has taken us all and I am so proud of who Philip has become. He is such a talented musician, writer and photographer so of course when he asked if I wanted to help do the makeup for his new photo series, I was elated to help!

This is the first image of the series and it looks so dope! I cannot wait to see the rest! To read more about Philip’s vision for the series, head on over to his blog: http://www.edselphoto.com/blog/ While you are there, be sure to check out the rest of his portfolio to see his incredible images!

Behind the scenes while shooting! This look was so much fun for me to create. I love a super sooty smokey eye- I added some burgundy to it for a small pop of color to break up all of the black. I also used black eyeliner to liner her lips for more drama too.

Image courtesy of Philip- i actually love the teal backdrop and the texture of the side of their house exposed in the background. Looks so tight. Major shout out to Grace Edsel for her amazing job styling the models-that skirt is epic! Such a fun project!
