In honor of National Lipstick Day, I’m sharing all of my favorite lipsticks. Now, I’m definitely more of an all or nothing kind of gal when it comes to my lips. My chapstick is very important to me. It’s either just my lip balm or something close to it like a tinted balm, or I go full out with a lipstick. Texture and reapplication are my two leading factors when it comes to picking out a lipstick. When I do wear one, I’m def going for either the perfect nude or a bold color. I want them to feel lightweight and not have to worry about reapplying and checking to see if it’s smeared all over my face. In my search, these are the best ones I’ve discovered! (in no particular order)
Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick– I love this set with all of these colors but I’ve found that Audition has come to replace my old go-to perfect nude. These have the best texture. Very buttery and hydrating and the color is beautiful.
Marc Jacobs Sheer Lip Gel in Role Play– My go-to nude before Audition. It is THE color all of my brides love.
Nars Audacious Lipstick– Creamy and packed with pigment. Really every color is so beautiful. While I’m on Nars, their Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are friggin fantastic too.
MAC’s Lipsticks are amazing too, but I purchased two of the limited edition Oh, Oh, Oh‘s from the Betty and Veronica collection and I have been on the hunt to find a lipstick that resembles it since. Closest one is Dior Addict Lipstick in City Lights. Feels like a tinted chapstick.
Lime Crime Velvetines Matte Liquid Lipsticks and ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip Both of these brands guarantee once you apply the lipstick, it is not.budging. I love all of their dark colors for fall.
ColourPop Blotted Lip and Glossier Generation G – these guys are theee best. If I’m not wearing chapstick, I have one of these on to feel a bit more polished if I’m out throughout the day.
L’Oreal Infallible Long Wearing Lip Pro-Last Lip Color – one of my favorite drugstore finds. This formula is extremely hydrating and really does last for hours without reapplying it. The shiny chapstick-like top coat seals in the color and feels great.
While there are plenty more options out there, these were just a few of my faves!
