BEHOLD- Another amazing collection from the Queen of makeup, Pat McGrath. It has been so cool to see her progression of makeup products. The hype that she creates on social media with her artistic point of view through badass graphics teasing the line and incredible looks demonstrating how you can wear her products on your face and create ART is just awe inspiring. She’s hypnotizing to follow. She’s very good about documenting her each and every move on Instagram whether it being what she sees on her way to daily meetings, sneak peaks and teasers of new products, behind the scene secrets on what takes place backstage, and her own inspiration. Her magazine interviews and write ups are something I read in a flash second, then go back and re-read over and over just to soak it all in again. The way she describes her thought process is poetic. The looks she creates on the runways is so forward thinking and outside of the box to where it is like something out of a dream. Weird, adventurous, limitless– She is an absolute genius. Follow her @patmcgrathreal You will immediately become obsessed.

Onto the collection:

She drew from the galaxy and science fiction to create the kit. Dark Star 006 Ultra Suede Brown included:

Ultra Suede Brown Pigment–THE most perfect velvety brown shadow.

Dark Matter– dark sooty matte black pigment with the slightest hint of glitter to create the smokiest effect

Mercury Pigment– a blindingly bright silver pewter metallic pigment

Astral White Pigment– almost diamond-like white that sparkles

Cyber Clear Gloss– a holographic clear gloss with blue-green flecks of glitter. Unlike most eye glosses, her’s is slick, not sticky so it is comfortable on the eyelids. Amazing on it’s own and even better layered over other colors.

Black Smudgeliner– dark matte black eye crayon. Glides on so smooth for slight definition and is easily blendable and buildable to amp up the drama.

Blending Brush- The tapered fluffy brush creates the smokiest effect with the slightest of ease

The best thing about the products is that they can be used wet or dry to achieve different textures. They’re universally flattering and super blendable so you can sit there and layer up product after product or use them alone like I did here. Since it’s been hot as heck out and I’ve been wearing less makeup lately, this is how I’ve been incorporating her kit into my looks. Maybe a smidge of the Ultra Suede Brown on my lids and always Astral White in the inner corners with loads of mascara.

It took me forever to actually open and start using these products because they’re just that pretty. And once these are sold out, they are gone forever–but I love how the look so much so I dove in and am so happy! I think it’s the best collection to use the lighter products in the summertime and can easily transition to fall by amping up the black liner and shadow.
