I wanted to share some of my summer hust-haves for quick and easy beauty throughout the Texas summer. In the recent months I’ve been reaching for less and less makeup. It’s been a combination of redirecting my focus on skincare since I started working at W3LL People, the weather being hot as heck and my general aesthetic for summer beauty just being lighter that influences the following picks. Enjoy!

Derek Lamb 10 Crosby Fragrance Discovery Set -I needed a refill on my Rainey Day which is my favorite scent for Spring/Summer. It’s so clean and fresh but I wanted to see if they had another scent that would be fitting for later months. Really you can’t go wrong with any perfume in his line.

Kores Black Pine Firming, Lifting AntiWrinkle Eye Cream

Osmia Organics Soothing Starter Set We had a training session with Dr. Sarah Villafranco herself a few weeks ago at W3LL People and I loved everything we learned from her mission to each product. My skin has completely changed since using this Starter Set. The Black Clay soap is perfect for my low maintenance approach. I lather my face up in the shower, then add the Active Gel Toner to damp skin then add just a bit of Purely Simple Moisturizer.

Osmia Organics Balance Facial Serum I add just two or three drops of this serum to my Purely Simple Moisturizer. Black cumin seed is the powerful anti-inflammatory ingredient that keeps problem skin at bay. It also leaves a plumped, nicely moisturized texture to the skin that feels hydrated all day long or throughout the night while you sleep.

Marc Jacobs Re(cover) Perfecting Coconut Setting Mist I’m a sucker for anything coconut and apparently Marc Jacobs shares the same feeling. Enough so that he created his newest line of makeup with coconut water as the main ingredient. This setting spray hydrates the skin for a highlighted and dewy glow. Check out his other coconut products here: http://www.marcjacobsbeauty.com/coconut-collection His entire makeup line is so covetable!

Becca Soft Light Blurring Face Powder I didn’t know how this product was going to turn out. I’m a fan of super highlighted skin-but had always turned to liquid or pressed powder. I was intrigued by the soft glow this loose setting powder and have been very happy with the effect it leaves on the skin. Will be great in the cooler months as well.

May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon We also had a training session going over all of May Lindstrom’s products at work and this was the one that was most appealing to me. One of the goals of her line is to return the focus back onto oneself and set aside time for self care after expending so much energy on other people or things throughout the day. Her products are designed for a luxurious treatment session. The blue tansy in the Blue Cocoon eases anxiety and calms the mind and any skin problems. The smell is amazingly intoxicating.

L’Oreal Super Slim Eyeliner I’ll either skip eyeliner completely or draw on a quick cat eye. This is by far my favorite drug store liquid liner with the precise tip for that barely there flick or you can build it up for a more dramatic look.

ColourPop Blotted Lip Lipstick A sheer tint of lip color is all you need in the summertime. With a wide range of colors and the fact they’re only $5–it’s a no brainer to stock up on these babies.

W3LL People Bio Bronzer Perfect sun-kissed skin in seconds. Just draw on a quick E&3 down the sides of your face and blend with your fingers.

Glossier Haloscope in Quartz I use this on top of my cheekbones , down the bridge of my nose and on my Cupid’s Bow for a dewy, pearlescent glow.

Glossier Coconut Balm Dot Com I can’t leave the house without this. Again, I’m a sucker for anything coconut to remind me of Hawaii. This balm can be used not only as a chapstick, but on cuticles, dry patches of skin and cuts that I get daily from my little jerk of a cat.

W3LL People Expressionist Mascara The wand on this mascara makes lashes look naturally long and fluttery.

Glossier Cloud Paint I was SO excited to try this product once I saw it was used on lots of actresses at the Oscar’s. I was so happy to learn that the blush I was curious about was Glossier’s newest product. I’m a HUGE fan of the line and am elated that they keep expanding their makeup range. This stuff is dummy proof. The sheer formula is buildable and suuuper pigmented delivering a punch of color in just a dab. By far one of my favorite new products I’ve tested this year.

Pat McGrath Labs Dark Star 006 QUEEN. Everything that has come out of her lab has been PURE GOLD. I am ELATED to throw all my money her way to get my hands on her products. Investing in the Ultra Suede Kit has been a makeup dream come true. Full post coming soon.

Milk Makeup Eye Pigment I love seeing the products they release as well. The cool line of makeup. Easy to use products that are high impact in a flash. With so many neat shimmery waterproof colors, this eye pigment is an easy choice to spice up summer nights. Use a bold color for a cat eye or a lighter metallic for an all over wash, any way you use it, it won’t go unnoticed!

Glossier Stretch Concealer I’ve just been spot treating with concealer in this heat. It’s too hot to slather your face in foundation.

Dior Plump n Volume Mascara Fat and happy purely black pigmented lashes are a staple in my book. Fun for the first few applications. Careful not to load the brush up with too much product. It was pretty easy for this formula to get clumpy reaaal quick.

My best beauty advice is to just keep it simple! Happy summer!
