I like to say that makeup is the last accessory you put on. The way you wear your makeup can truly summate or distract from the overall aesthetic your look is trying to portray. I’ve used colored liner as a trick to pull my entire look together for years. It’s a quick, easy and fun way to jazz up your outfit.
The best thing about colored liner is that the possibilities are endless. Here are the rules I play by:
-if you are wearing a print, choose the color that stands out most to you and go from there
-stay within the same family of the color you choose or decide on its complimentary colors.
-don’t go nuts. You can add colors, play with placement, technique etc. but your goal is cool, not clownish. You’re look should be ‘eye-catching’, not ‘eye-abrasive’
-find your colors! Use basic color theory to see what is most flattering with your eye color to make them pop!
